I could go on and on telling you guys little quirks about myself, making a list that probably only I know about myself but I’ll keep it short and sweet. 😉
– I’m 20 years old and my birthday is on February 27th.
– I absolutely love to read and buy new books. Barnes and Noble is my secret heaven, and I could spend hours in there. Of course Avory hates taking me because I always leave with at least 2 new books. I don’t read as much as I would like to but when I do find a good book, I make sure I finish it in less than 2 days, haha.
– I have a love/hate relationship with change. As much as I tell myself that I hate it, I know that deep down I really do love it.
– I have a tiny comfort zone. I hate being put on the spot, and I’m super shy. It holds me back from a lot of opportunities, but I’ve been trying to step outside of it this past year. Hence me starting this blog, finally.
– I have horrible, horrible anxiety. Honestly, I don’t even think anybody knows except my husband. I stress about literally everything. My face turns beet red, I start sweating, and I can’t concentrate on anything. I hate it because it happens most when I’m pushed outside of my comfort zone and when I’m feeling self-conscious.
– Food is the ultimate love of my life (don’t tell my husband ;)). I could eat and eat until there’s nothing left. I’m one of those people who would snack all day long if I could. My eyes are far bigger than my stomach when it comes to meals, I actually think Avory’s gotten the hang of it and just orders less of what he wants because he knows he’ll have to finish mine. haha!
– I love lists. To-do lists, this exact type of list, lists about anything and everything. Although it may just be an excuse for my husband to let me buy all the cute stationery from the $1 aisle at Target, haha.
– Although I’ve never admitted it, I think I’m a closet perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect and stay perfect. New books can’t crease, shoes have to stay clean, I dream of having a spotless, perfectly decorated house. Having a clean desk in my office, a perfectly planned schedule. I even obsess over my handwriting. If it doesn’t look good when I’m taking notes or writing literally anything, I have to start over.
– I have a really good support system. Literally, because my spine is titanium. October 31st of 2014 I had to get (pretty much) my entire spine fused. I had really bad scoliosis and I still do, it’s just a lot better now that I have 23 screws and a few titanium rods in there. By far one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to overcome. I had to learn how to walk all over again, and I can’t really bend at all except for at my hips. Which is really difficult when you want to do just about anything, let me tell you. People take their body for granted everyday, and I would do anything to have my old one back.
– I’m a Christian! A follower of Jesus through and through. I have been for a couple of years but consider myself a new believer, still. Because I’m forever learning something new, and I have a million and one questions, always. I love reading my bible and I’m obsessed with taking notes in my journal. I love finding new verses that apply to my current situations. It has been and always will be my “pick me up”. My go-to for when I’m feeling down/sad/mad or having an off day. My favorite thing is when I’m listening to the sermon at church and I feel like the pastor wrote it just for me, when I can relate to everything he’s saying it makes me feel like I’m not alone. I love that it connects so many people who never would have met otherwise.
– I work the front desk at a doctor’s clinic and I hope to one day be a nurse. It’s always been exactly what I wanted to do, and until recently, I didn’t think I would be able to do it. But here I am, pushing myself out of my comfort zone to accomplish what I believe to be my true calling in life.
– I’m half Mexican (aka I tan amazingly in the summer!).
– The littlest things make me so happy. Not feeling rushed when I’m shopping, making someone else’s day, going to church, freshly washed sheets, white chocolate mochas, when it rains, getting laundry done, etc. The list goes on!
What’re some things about you that nobody would ever know?
